LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes were left out in the cold following Wednesday’s clash with the ICE.

To kick off a four-game road trip, the Canes travelled to Wayne Fleming Arena in Winnipeg.

Zachary Benson scored the first goal of the contest for Winnipeg in the first period.

The ICE followed that up with a trio of goals in the second period, as Jakin Smallwood, Connor McClennon, and Matthew Savoie all hit the net.

Lethbridge’s Yegor Klavdiev got his team on the scoreboard 1:21 into the third period thanks to an assist from Jett Jones.

Connor McClennon got one last point for the ICE with just 50 seconds left in the game.

The Hurricanes now face an overall record of 5-8-0-0 on the season including losses in their last five games.

The Canes hope for redemption on Thursday as they head to Brandon to take on the Wheat Kings.

They return home to the ENMAX Centre on Friday, November 19 and welcome the Medicine Hat Tigers.
