Canes end dry spell with 6-1 win over Regina

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes got their first win in their last seven contests.

On the road in Regina, the Canes toppled the Pats 6-1.

Tanner Howe scored the first goal in the game and the only one for Regina 14:19 in.

Lethbridge got on the scoreboard five minutes later with just 31 seconds left in the first period thanks to a shot from Trevor Thurston.

Jett Jones, Logan Wormald, and Logan Barlage all hit the net for the Canes in the second.

Ty Nash and Justin Hall follow that up with goals in the third period.

In the end, the Hurricanes outshot the Pats 33-28.

The three stars of the game were all members of the Canes crew: Wormald, Thacker, and Jones.

With Saturday’s game in the bag, the Lethbridge Hurricanes have improved to 6-9-0-0 on the season.

The final contest for their four-game road trip sees the Canes travelling to Moose Jaw on Sunday to face the Warriors.

The next contest at the ENMAX Centre will see Lethbridge welcome the Medicine Hat Tigers on Friday, November 19.
