LETHBRIDGE, AB – One of the city’s MLAs will be heading down to Santa Fe, New Mexico for a series of trade-related meetings.

Nathan Neudorf will represent Alberta at the Council of State Governments (CSG) National Conference, running from December 1-4.

His goal will be to network and build relationships with his American counterparts, highlighting trade, investment, energy security, and energy infrastructure.

“CSG National is a valuable opportunity to strengthen our province’s ties with the member states and advance opportunities for Alberta in the region,” says Neudorf. “Building and fostering these relationships is more important now than ever to ensure Alberta’s economy rebounds and grows.”

“I look forward to working with our U.S. and provincial neighbours to identify new opportunities as we work together to leave behind one of the most challenging times in our history and embrace the future.”

The MLA is departing from Canada on Tuesday and is set to return to Alberta next Sunday.

The Alberta Government notes that approximately 85 per cent of all provincial exports in 2020 were to the U.S. Of this, 77 per cent were energy products.
