U of L’s Apollo Hess named Canada West Male Swimmer of the Week

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Following an impressive performance at the Canada West Swim Championships last weekend, University of Lethbridge Pronghorn Apollo Hess has been named the Canada West Male Swimmer of the Week.

At the championship meet in Edmonton, Hess earned five medals, and was named the men’s Swimmer of the Meet and the men’s Rookie of the Meet.

He won gold in record-breaking fashion in both the 50-metre and 200-metre breaststroke.

The first-year athlete won silver in both the 100-metre breaststroke and 4 X 100 freestyle relay. Hess added a bronze to his collection, winning that medal in the 4 X 100 metre medley.
