LPS investigating attempted armed robbery of Pharmacy

LETHBRIDGE, AB. — While a multiple number of Lethbridge police were busy with threats at a city high school Tuesday (Dec 14) morning, two culprits attempted an armed robbery at a south side pharmacy.

Around 9:30, a pair of masked men entered Petra Pharmacy along the 1000 block of Mayor Magrath Drive, brandished a firearm and demanded a male employee open the safe.

The employee refused and was subsequently assaulted, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries, before the subjects fled the area.

The first subject is described as a black male, wearing a black jacket with orange stripes, a baseball cap and black shoes. The second subject is described as a black male, wearing black clothing, a baseball cap and black shoes. Both subjects were wearing masks.

Unfortunately, there are no surveillance images.
