PBR Canada returns to Lethbridge in February

LETHBRIDGE, AB – For the fourth consecutive season, Lethbridge will host PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Canada’s elite Cup Series.

The event will take place at the ENMAX Centre on Friday, February 11 and Saturday, February 12 for the PBR South Country Co-op Showdown, presented by VisitLethbridge.com.

The weekend event will mark the second of the 2022 PBR Canada Cup Series. The tour will launch on February 5 in Red Deer, with the complete set of events to be announced in the coming weeks.

Last season, after a close to nine-month hiatus in competition, the PBR Canada Cup Series launched the 2021 campaign in Lethbridge. Thanks to a 90-point ride, two-time PBR Canada Champion Zane Lambert (Ponoka, Alberta) clinched the event win, surging to the number-one rank in the race for the PBR Canada Championship.

As the season continued, Lambert competed against Warwick, Queensland’s Callum Miller for the top spot. However, despite a hard-fought effort in the last days of the season, Lambert and Miller fell short of the year-end title, finishing the campaign ranked third and seventh, respectively.

Cody Coverchuk of Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan finished the year ranked number-one in the country, capturing his second career national title.
