Volunteers needed at Chinook Regional Hospital and Bow Island Health Centre

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Volunteers are being sought to lend a hand at the Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge.

Alberta Health Services (AHS) is seeking people who can play the piano, guitar, or accordion and who can play commonly known songs to volunteer during the day and evenings, providing entertainment in various areas of the hospital.

Anyone wishing to share their talents must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination. For more details about volunteering, call the Volunteer Resources Department at 403-388-6311 or email volunteer.lethbridge@albertahealthservices.ca.

A release from AHS reads, “each and every day, dedicated volunteers are engaged in meaningful activities and roles that enhance the patient experience.”

BOW ISLAND HEALTH CENTRE

AHS is also seeking helpers during the day for various positions to work with patients and residents in long-term care at the Bow Island Health Centre.

Helpers are required to assist in bingo games, playing cards, applying nail polish and just spending time visiting with residents and patients.
