FORT MACLEOD, AB – A new person is in charge of administration in Fort Macleod’s town office.

After an extensive recruitment process, they announced that Anthony Burdett is the new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).

“Anthony is local to southern Alberta, growing up just outside of Fort Macleod,” reads a media release from the Town. “Anthony, along with his wife and children live just east of Town, are active in the community and within our local schools. With a personal understanding of our history combined with local knowledge of current happenings Anthony is ready to assist in achieving their strategic goals and objectives.”

Burdett has a Bachelor of Management from the University of Lethbridge and has CPA accreditation. He has also completed the University of Manitoba’s Municipal Management and Leadership Program.

Previously, he worked as the Livingstone Range School Division’s Director of Finance.

“Anthony is confident stepping into the role of CAO, he cares deeply about Fort Macleod as a community and is looking forward to joining the Town with an anticipated start date in February 2022.”

He will serve as the replacement for Sue Keenan, who resigned from her post at the Town of Fort Macleod back in August.
