Taber garage fire causes $50,000 in damage

TABER, AB. — Fire crews were called to a north side fire in Taber around 2:00 Wednesday (Jan 12) morning.

When crews arrived on scene, they found a fully engulfed detached garage.

Neighbors had already alerted the home’s family, who were able to safely evacuate.

Fire crews were able to limit damage to the family home but, damage to the home and destroyed garage is estimated to b e $50,000.

While the fire is still under investigation, it has not been deemed suspicious.
