LETHBRIDGE, AB – It was a special night at Nicholas Sheran Arena in Lethbridge Saturday.

The Lethbridge Lightning hockey club hosted the first annual Badges vs. Bolts fundraising game, putting Lightning players on the ice with local first responders. In a high-scoring affair, it was the Badges team that came away with the 14-11 victory.

However, the real win came from funds raised for the Jack Ady Cancer Centre. 20 per cent of ticket sales were donated to the centre.

In all, $1,242 was raised for the cancer facility at the Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge.
