Jan 28, 2022 | 11:00 AM

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Friends of Lethbridge Public Library will be holding its Mega Book Sale this weekend.

“Truly, there will be more books and DVDs for sale than at any other recent Friends’ sale,” commented Barb Gibson, book sale chair.

The sale will occur at the Main Library at 810 5 Avenue South on Saturday, January 29th, from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM, and on Sunday, January 30th, from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM.

Organizers say the sale will be a bag sale and the price of a grocery shopping bag of books is $5.00 and the same price for 10 DVDs.

Customers are asked to bring their own shopping bags, oversized bags will be priced accordingly.

Gibsons says this year is different with COVID-19 restrictions so there are strict limits on the number of people that can shop in any of the rooms at any one time. For that reason, shoppers are strongly encouraged to book their shopping time on Eventbrite. Saturday will be open to ticket holders only.

“On Sunday, individuals with Society of Friends of Lethbridge Public Library. PO Box 27078. Lethbridge, AB T1K 6Z8 Friends@lethlib.ca Eventbrite tickets will be able to enter the sale rooms on a priority basis with any remaining space available to walk-in customers. Bookings are generally for one hour with time periods starting and ending on the hour,” the release reads.

There is no cost for an Eventbrite ticket.
