LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes will hope for better luck tomorrow.

The Canes were in Red Deer Saturday evening for a clash with the Rebels, falling 8-1 on the road.

The one-sided affair saw the Rebels score five goals in a row throughout the first two periods before Lethbridge hit the scoreboard early in the third.

48 seconds into the final period, Logan Wormald scored on a power play thanks to assists from Leikit Reichle and Alex Thacker.

Red Deer retaliated with another three points before the end of the game. Ben King was named the Star of the Game, securing a hat trick for the Central Albertans.

Both teams were even in terms of shots on goal with 39 each.

The Canes started off their three-game road trip through Alberta on the right foot on Friday, coming out with a 3-2 overtime victory over Calgary.

In that game, Justin Hall scored twice including the game-winner while Ty Nash also got a point for Lethbridge.

With a one-and-one record so far on their road trip, the Canes look to end the weekend on a successful note as they travel to the provincial capital on Sunday.
