Police recover stolen property and drugs, two Lethbridge men charged
LETHBRIDGE, AB – Two Lethbridge men have been charged following a bust by the Lethbridge Police Service Crime Suppression Team (CST).
On January 24, team members found a vehicle that had been reported stolen earlier from Picture Butte. Police say the vehicle was subsequently used in the commission of crime in Taber. The 2018 Dodge Ram dually truck was parked in front of a business in the 100 block of 13 Street North in Lethbridge.
Two men were arrested without incident in connection with the vehicle. A search of the truck and of the individuals resulted in the seizure of over $2,300 worth of stolen property from a business in Taber, more than 23 grams of methamphetamine, a quantity of crack cocaine and over 32 grams of buffing agent (used to dilute illegal drugs). Brass knuckles were also seized.
36-year-old Daniel Raymond Fraser is charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000, theft under $5,000, two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a prohibited weapon, and possession of an offensive weapon dangerous to the public.
