LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge Exhibition Park announced its 2022 Signature Events line-up.

“2022 will celebrate the 125th anniversary of Lethbridge & District Exhibition, and will be the most historic and exciting year to date, shaping the next 125 years for generations to come,” the release reads

It’s expected that the events centre will entertain 400,000 guests this season as it looks to grow leading out of the pandemic.

An event-filled year will be hosted at the park with a new “Lotteries Program.”

Ag-Expo

From March 2-4, Ag-Expo presented by Farm Credit Canada and the North American Seed Fair presented by FortisAlberta will invite the farming industry and regional community of growers, producers, and processers to trade and invest in Lethbridge.

Southern Alberta Home & Garden Show

The Southern Alberta Home & Garden Show presented by Lethbridge & District Exhibition & BILD Lethbridge Region will take place from March 30-April 2.

This year’s program show will feature keynote speaker and author Lyndon Penner–a traveler, environmentalist, and backyard expert–and Elder William Singer III who will guide attendees through the use of Indigenous plants in our region.

“One of the unique elements of this year’s Home and Garden show is the WHO BILDS IT BEST Competition which will have industry professionals and talented students competing to showcase their building skills,” the park release reads.

Lethbridge Farmer’s Market

A staple in Lethbridge specifically at Lethbridge Exhibition is the Farmer’s Market. Each season, the event welcomes over 54,000. Attendees can expect to meet the producers and growers who farm Alberta’s land while sampling unique food from our culinary team. The Saturday Market will run from May 7 – October 22 on the campus.

The downtown Wednesday Market will also return in partnership with the Downtown Lethbridge BRZ annual Farmer’s Market.

Alberta Pork and Hickory Street for the Smoke, Wind & Fire master series barbeque competition

From July 23-24, Lethbridge & District Exhibition will kick off summer in partnerships with Alberta Pork and Hickory Street for the Smoke, Wind & Fire master series barbeque competition. The two-day festival recognizes the skills and expertise of grill masters across the province right here in Canada’s Premier Food Corridor.

Whoop-Up Days

“Whoop-Up Days will be an experience that can’t be missed as we celebrate our rich history from August 23-27 at Whoop-Up Days 2022.”

The sights, sounds, smell and taste will all commemorate the 125 years of our history reflecting on our impact to the community, and the future 125-year legacy we are currently erecting in our backyard. The re-imagined fair experience will feature something for everyone.

Included in the return is professional rodeo at the Rocky Mountain Turf Club.

The 2022 fair will launch a brand-new art show to showcases Southern Alberta’s vibrant arts community, our local artists, and the creatives who capture what it means to live, work and play in Southern Alberta.

Lotteries Program

“The Lethbridge & District Exhibition Lotteries Program will launch ahead of our Signature Event season as we celebrate 125 years in the community. The lotteries program will provide a guaranteed prize-incentivized lottery pool of $125,000 to generate participation and earnings from Albertans across the province for the chance to win BIG in our 125th year.”
