WHL and Lethbridge Hurricanes announce season schedule adjustments

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Western Hockey League (WHL) has announced an adjustment to the remainder of the 2021-2022 regular season, which impacts the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

The league stated that the season will now wrap up on Sunday, April 17. If tie-breaker games are needed, those will be scheduled for Tuesday, April 19 with the 2022 WHL Playoffs to follow.

The Lethbridge Hurricanes have 25 games left on their schedule and will see five of those games rescheduled after earlier postponements and an extension to the regular season.

The rescheduled dates are as follows:

  • Wednesday, Jan. 26 vs. Saskatoon has been moved to Wed. April 6 at 7:00 p.m.
  • Monday, March 26 at Red Deer has been moved to Friday, April 8 at 7:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, March 22 vs. Calgary has been moved to Saturday, April 9 at 7:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, Feb. 17 vs. Moose Jaw has been moved to Friday, April 15 at 7:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, Jan. 1 at Calgary has been moved to Sunday, April 17 at 2:00 p.m.

The Hurricanes noted to fans that tickets for the previously scheduled home dates will be valid for the rescheduled dates. Lethbridge is back on the ice Friday, February 18. They host the Brandon Wheat Kings at the ENMAX Centre at 7:00 p.m. More on the Hurricanes is available here.
