COVID cases remain low in Alberta over last four days
LETHBRIDGE, AB – The province has released its latest report on COVID-19 for Tuesday. Due to technical issues on AHS’ part, a full breakdown was not provided on Monday, so today’s report will cover statistics from the past four days.
388 cases were confirmed across the province on Monday, bringing the total to 526,563. Of those, 8,164 cases are active while 514,460 people have recovered.
It should be noted that, on January 10, the province limited the number of people who can get a PCR test from AHS for COVID-19 to only those in high-risk settings. This likely means that the number of people who have actually contracted COVID since then would be higher than what is being reported by the province.
Over the past four days, 98 people tested positive in the South Zone or 24.5 each day. There were 43 new cases in Lethbridge, or just under 11 each day.
