Mar 2, 2022 | 11:28 AM

LETHBRIDGE, AB – A Lethbridge man facing a series of serious charges has been denied bail.

Christopher Lysak, 48, of Lethbridge, appeared in Court of Queen’s Bench to see if he would be released from custody on conditions.

Lysak faces charges of conspiracy to commit murder, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, mischief over $5,000, and uttering threats.

As is standard practice during bail hearings, a publication ban prohibits us from publishing the evidence presented in the hearing, or the reasons for the decision.

The presiding judge denied Lysak a judicial interim release, meaning he will remain in custody until his matter has concluded.

Lysak is among 13 people who were arrested at the Coutts convoy protest on Sunday, February 13.
