LETHBRIDGE, AB – A new leader has been appointed for the Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation.

Allan Bartolcic comes into the role of executive director with 17 years of association management experience and a Master of Arts in Leadership and Training from Royal Roads University.

He recently took part in his first fundraiser with the group, the 2022 Radio-a-thon, which raised over $305,000 for Lethbridge’s hospital.

That is the highest total in the event’s history and represents updated numbers from after LNN’s article on the Radio-a-thon.

Bartolcic says he felt humbled by the fundraiser’s success and was proud of what it achieved.

“Awesome, just amazing really. It reinforced what I had already known about the people in our community. What a way to kick off a new position, I am excited to lead this outstanding team through the tremendous opportunity and contribute to building the sustainability and growth of the Foundation.”

The Foundation’s board Chair, James Nilsson, believes Bartolcic will be an invaluable asset to the organization.

“On behalf of the Board of Directors, we are excited to welcome Allan to the Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation. He comes to us with a long history of Executive Director experience and a depth of leadership that will enable him to continue to grow the Foundation in the future, stewarding the generous gifts of our donors to ensure that our community has access to excellent healthcare.”

Bartolcic says the community can expect him to be an “authentic, loyal, and dedicated leader.”
