LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes has announced a change in their leadership group.

The team has relieved Jeff Hansen of his duties as assistant coach.

Canes GM Peter Anholt assures that there is no ill will towards Hansen.

“Jeff is a good man and a hard worker, and this wasn’t an easy decision, but we felt it was time to make a change. We weren’t happy with the development of our defence and the accountability of our blueline.”

“We’d like the thank Jeff for his tireless work over his five years with the organization and wish him the best in his future endeavours.”

The rest of the WHL club’s leadership team remains intact for the remainder of the season with Brent Kisio as head coach, Matt Anholt as assistant coach/assisting GM, and Ryan Aasman as video coach.

Next up for the Lethbridge Hurricanes, they continue their seven-game road trip with a matchup against the Regina Pats at 6:00 pm MST on Friday, March 11.
