LPS seeking suspect accused of stealing donation box

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) is asking for your help in finding a suspect believed to be responsible for the theft and attempted theft of donation boxes from two fast-food restaurants.

On Tuesday, March 29 at approximately 4:30 pm, LPS says a man tried to steal a donation box from the Wendy’s at 230 Scenic Drive South before being stopped by staff. He fled the scene on foot.

About 15 minutes later, police responded to a report that a man stole a donation box from the Tim Horton’s on 442 Scenic Drive South. The box was later found nearby but it had been emptied out.

“The same man is believed responsible for both incidents,” reads a statement from LPS. “The amount of money contained in the two donation boxes is unknown, and the investigation is ongoing.”
