Lethbridge Police charge two Southern Albertans following drug bust

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Two people have been charged by Lethbridge Police after drugs, cash and stolen property were seized.

Patrol members of the Lethbridge Police Service (LPS), the Crime Suppression Team and the Traffic Response Unit executed a search warrant on March 31, 2022 at a residence in the 600 block of Stafford Drive North. Items seized included 13.6 grams of methamphetamine and smaller amounts of cocaine, crack cocaine and fentanyl, as well as a pellet gun, various tools including three chainsaws and almost $1,200 in cash.

18-year-old Nathanial Fransen, of Lethbridge, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime under $5,000 and possession of a controlled substance.

39-year-old Frances Marie Fransen, of Barnwell, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of the proceeds of crime under $5,000.

Both were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in court on June 8, 2022.
