First-round playoff schedule announced for Lethbridge Hurricanes

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes’ schedule for the first-round of the 2022 Western Hockey League (WHL) playoffs has been announced.

The Hurricanes are set for a series with the Edmonton Oil Kings. The action starts on Thursday, April 21. The Oil Kings cemented their title as the 2022 Central Division Champions with a 6-4 win over Red Deer on April 9. This will be the first time the Hurricanes meet the Oil Kings in the post-season.

Edmonton won the regular season series between the two clubs, going 6-2-0-0. However, the Hurricanes go into their playoff series with some momentum, having won their last regular season game against the Oil Kings 5-1 on March 27.

The best of seven series will start at Rogers Place in Edmonton. Below is the full series schedule:

• Game 1: Lethbridge at Edmonton on Thursday, April 21 at 7:00 p.m. – Rogers Place
• Game two: Lethbridge at Edmonton on Saturday, April 23 at 7:00 p.m. – Rogers Place
• Game three: Edmonton at Lethbridge on Tuesday, April 26 at 7:00 p.m. – ENMAX Centre
• Game four: Edmonton at Lethbridge on Thursday, April 28 at 7:00 p.m. – ENMAX Centre
• Game five (if necessary): Lethbridge at Edmonton on Saturday, April 30 at 2:00 p.m. – Rogers Place
• Game six (if necessary): Edmonton at Lethbridge on Sunday, May 1 at 7:00 p.m. – ENMAX Centre
• Game seven (if necessary): Lethbridge at Edmonton on either Tuesday, May 3 or Wednesday, May 4 at 7:00 p.m. – Rogers Place

Individual tickets for home games at the ENMAX Centre go on sale Thursday, April 21 at 10:00 a.m. Playoff tickets begin at $23 per game for adults.

Pay-as-we-Play Playoff Packages for season ticket holders are on sale now. Season ticket holders can opt-in to the playoff package online through the ENMAX Centre’s website until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20. Playoff tickets are $20 per game for adults and $12 per game for youth, for all rounds, when opting into the playoff package.
