Lethbridge fire crews battle west side fire overnight

LETHBRIDGE, AB — Lethbridge fire crews battled a fire at a fourplex condominium complex on the west side early Sunday, May 1, 2022.

Crews from five stations responded to the blaze in the 200 block of Blackfoot Road West at about 2:00 a.m. Sunday.

When fire crews arrived at the scene, flames were coming out of the unit’s roof. Firefighters managed to contain the blaze and keep it from spreading to additional units.

Lethbridge Fire and EMS says all occupants and their pets escaped without any injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and the damage estimate has not been released.
