The project will start with dismantling the current equipment, followed by construction of new equipment for children of all ages. That will include a variety of climbing equipment, activity panels, several slides, and swings.

Picnic tables, benches, a bike rack and garbage cans will also be added to the site.

Additionally, residents and guests to Monarch will be able to take advantage of new hoops on the basketball court. Line painting on the court and sealcoating of the tennis court will be done at a later date. The construction work is expected to last roughly three weeks, weather permitting.

The public is asked to keep out of the fenced work area. Access to the tennis court and baseball diamond will be maintained throughout the build process.

Updates on the project will be posted at the Lethbridge County website.

Meanwhile, in Lethbridge, a rubber resurfacing project at various playgrounds in the city will result in temporary closures, beginning Thursday, May 12, 2022.
