LETHBRIDGE, AB – The City of Lethbridge is advising residents of two planned power outages this weekend as crews upgrade power lines.

On Sunday, May 29, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., an outage along 13 Street North between 1 Avenue and 3 Avenue North will affect roughly 26 residents. The outage will last approximately eight hours, weather permitting.

A second outage will take place on Sunday, May 29, between 5:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. It will impact roughly 90 residents along West Side Drive. This outage is anticipated to last about four and a half hours, weather permitting.

Residents are reminded that garage doors will not work during a power outage. The City advises residents in the affected areas to pull their vehicle out of their garage.

In a news release, the City of Lethbridge stated, β€œthe safety of our residents and workers is important to us. Outages may be rescheduled without notice due to extreme weather or other uncontrollable factors.”
