LETHBRIDGE, AB – A new month means new events, and there are a lot happening in Lethbridge this weekend.

Prairie Pets Rescue and Pet Valu are hosting an adoptable dogs meet and greet event on Saturday June 4, from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at 550 University Drive West. All of the animals up for adoption at Prairie Pets Rescue are fully vetted, meaning they are dewormed, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and have all their vaccinations up to date.

If you’d rather enjoy a hot dog instead of adopting a new dog, catch the Lethbridge Bulls baseball game on Saturday, June 4. The Bulls take on the Edmonton Prospects at 7:00 p.m. at Spitz Stadium. You can purchase tickets at the gate or on the Lethbridge Bulls website.

June is Pride Month, and on Saturday you can celebrate Taber Pride at the Taber Confederation Park. The event will feature live music, face painting, a bouncy house, and food trucks. The celebration begins at 1:30 p.m. and runs until 5:00 p.m. Saturday.

The first annual “Walk to Remember” hosted by the Guided Journeys Foundation will be held between 2:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 5 at Henderson Lake Park. The walk is to raise funds for hospice and palliative care, in memory of Rob Kern. You can purchase tickets to the event on the Guided Journeys website.

If you’re hungry to support local businesses, you can hit up the food truck lunch starting at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday June 5 at Southminster United Church. The food trucks that will be on site for the lunch include Two Guys Pizza, That Hawaiian Burger Truck, Kona Ice of Lethbridge, and The Frozen Yogurt Spot.
