Lethbridge Hurricanes announce pre-season schedule

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes and the Western Hockey League (WHL) have released the 2022 pre-season schedule.

According to a June 16, 2022 news release, the Hurricanes will play the following exhibition games:

• Medicine Hat Tigers – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 9, 2022 at ENMAX Centre in Lethbridge
• Medicine Hat Tigers – 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Co-op Place in Medicine Hat
• Red Deer Rebels – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 16, 2022 at ENMAX Centre in Lethbridge
• Red Deer Rebels – 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Peavey Mart Centrium in Red Deer

According to the release, the Lethbridge Hurricanes’ home opener will be announced on Monday, June 20, 2022, and the regular-season schedule will be released in early July.

In a separate news release by the WHL, the 2022 WHL Pre-Season Schedule includes 47 games and will run from September 6-18, 2022. It will also feature two tournaments that include events hosted by the Everett Silvertips and the Tri-City Americans.

The WHL Clubs will begin announcing their home-opening dates for the 2022-23 WHL regular reason on June 20, 2022.

The WHL says the 2022-23 regular season is scheduled to begin on September 23, 2022, and the detailed regular season schedule is expected to be unveiled in the first week of July.
