Power outages planned in Lethbridge on Wednesday

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The City of Lethbridge is advising residents of a planned power outage this week.

On Wednesday, June 22, 2022, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., a planned outage will affect approximately 62 residents along 11 Street South and 12 Street South between 5 Avenue and 7 Avenue South. The power outage will last about eight hours, weather permitting.

Crews will be upgrading power lines. The City stated in a news release that, “we are working hard on these upgrades to reduce the chance of unplanned outages in your area in the future.”

Residents are reminded that garage doors will not work during a power outage and are advised to pull their vehicle out of their garage prior to the outage.

The City also noted that the safety of residents and workers is important to staff, therefore outages may be rescheduled without notice due to extreme weather or other uncontrollable factors.
