LETHBRIDGE, AB – In the field, on the lake, or celebrating who you are, there are lots of events to check out around Lethbridge this weekend.

The early birds out there can make their way to Hybred Dairy & Crystal Springs farm for Breakfast on the Dairy. Starting at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, this free, four-hour event will show you what life is like on a real dairy farm. A healthy breakfast will be served by local dairy farmers, and then afterwards you can go on a guided farm tour. Part of the tour includes seeing the milking parlour and a live cheese making demonstration. Also on site to keep kids entertained, there will be a bouncy castle, face painting, and hay rides. If you want to attend, the directions to the farm can be found on the Breakfast on the Dairy event page.

For those in Lethbridge who celebrate Pride, the 2022 Pride Parade starts at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Starting at Civic Centre Park located at Stafford Drive South and 6 Avenue S, the parade will make its way to Galt Gardens. You’re invited to come and celebrate with members of the Lethbridge 2SLGBTQIA+ community. The party doesn’t stop once the parade reaches Galt Gardens, as more Pride in the Park celebrations will begin.

The 20th annual ATB Financial Lethbridge Dragon Boat Festival is happening at Henderson Lake all weekend. This year, there will be 48 dragon boat teams participating, with more than 800 paddlers in 59 races. Bands and dance troupes will also be entertaining the crowds, with over 10 food trucks, vendors, and a KidZone in the park. The parking lots around Henderson Lake have been closed, but there is free parking available at the Exhibition Park North Lot.

Still want to watch an event, but you’d rather do so indoors? Pure Power Wrestling (PPW) is hosting Full Force on Saturday, June 25. Starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Fritz Sick Pool, PPW Heavyweight Champion Kyle Sebastian is taking on Johnny Devine, and Bryn Watts is expected to take on Tyler Knox. Tickets to the event are available on Eventbrite or at the door.

For those who want to walk, run or roll for a cause, the Kinette Club of Claresholm is hosting #Furthertogether to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis Canada. The run starts at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday June, 26, and is taking place in Claresholm at Centennial Park. The run costs $20 per individual or $30 per family, and completed entry forms and payment can be sent to claresholmkinettes@gmail.com. All proceeds raised will go to Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
