Two suspects dead, six officers injured in B.C. bank shooting

SAANICH, BC – Police in Saanich, B.C., say two suspects are dead and six police officers suffered gunshot wounds when they were called to a bank robbery.

Police say a shelter-in-place advisory remains up as they search for a possible third suspect.

Homes in the area have been evacuated as police investigate a potential explosive device in a vehicle related to the suspects.

Police say they believe some officers will be released from hospital soon, while others have more serious injuries and have been taken into surgery.

Officers were called to a report that two armed men had entered the bank Tuesday morning.
