LETHBRIDGE, AB – There are lots of events happening around Lethbridge this week. There’s events to keep you active, events to relax and enjoy, and events to get out and support others in the community.

Monday July 4, the Lethbridge Steel Women’s Tackle Football team is hosting Ladies Football Night. Starting at 6:30 p.m. and happening at St. Francis Junior High, girls/women 16+ are invited to come out and learn about football, practice some skills, and play a game of touch/flag football. No gear is required to play, running shoes are fine.

On Tuesday, July 5, head up to the Carmangay for a Water Fight. The fun starts at 1:00 p.m. at the Carmangay Library, and all ages and skill levels are welcome. The Library will have water balloons, water guns, and sponge balls available to borrow, so wear some clothes you don’t mind getting wet and bring a towel to get in on the fun.

For those who like to get out a little later in the day, starting at 8:30 p.m. Tyler Del Pino will be performing at the Owl Acoustic Lounge on Tuesday evening. Tyler Del Pino is currently on his Western Canadian Tour for his sophomore EP “In The End”.

On Thursday, July 7, Fort Macleod will be shutting down its historical main street for Market on Main. Getting underway at 5:30 p.m. this three hour event features vendors selling fresh produce, locally raised meats, baked goods, local artisans, and live music. Don’t worry if you can’t make it this week, as the market is scheduled to happen every Thursday.

Finally this week, on Friday, July 8, the Lethbridge Public Library will be screening Encanto as part of Big Screen Friday. The screening starts at 6:00 p.m. at the Lethbridge Public Library Crossings Branch, and is free to attend. Don’t worry if you forgot to make dinner plans, for the months of July and August there will be food trucks in the parking lot.
