LETHBRIDGE, AB – It’s the end of a traffic era in Lethbridge.

The City of Lethbridge said that on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, crews will complete road work at the intersection of 43 Street South and 6 Avenue South. With work finished, the traffic light that has been flashing yellow for more than a decade at the intersection will become active.

Following a recent review of traffic operations and signal warrants, Alberta Transportation has given the thumbs up to the activation of the traffic signals at 43 Street and 6 Avenue South.

The City of Lethbridge notes it may take some getting used to for regular commuters in the area, but motorists are advised to drive according to the new traffic signals as indicated.
