Suspect in south Lethbridge assault arrested

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) has apprehended a man who was wanted in connection to an assault that occurred earlier this month.

On Thursday, July 7, 2022, police say two men who are known to each other were involved in a dispute at a home on the 1700 block of 10 A Avenue South.

The victim was allegedly hit with a taser and shot multiple times with a BB gun.

LPS says the victim was able to leave the residence and make their way to hospital, where they were treated for their injuries.

The police service put out a notice on July 10, asking for the public’s help in finding the suspect. On July 20, 2022, the arrest was made.

Clayton Wade Jordan, 39, of Lethbridge, is charged with two counts of assault with a weapon, use of an imitation firearm, discharge of an air pistol, possession of a prohibited weapon, and failure to comply with a release order.

He remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

LPS is asking the public for their assistance in finding the suspect.
