LETHBRIDGE, AB – There are plenty of events taking place around Lethbridge this week. Whether you like to rock, or roll, learn about the past, or make a little cash; there’s something for everyone this week.
For anyone who likes to rollerskate or use inline skates, the City of Lethbridge is hosting Free Public Rolling on Tuesday, July 26, 2022. The event runs from 6:45 p.m. until 7:45 p.m. at the Civic Ice Centre. Those who are looking to take part in the free event are asked to bring their own skates, as there will not be any available to rent. Don’t worry if you can’t make it this week, as this event runs every Tuesday until August 9, 2022.
On Wednesday, July 27, celebrate the Piikani Nation’s Annual Pow Wow and attend its Annual Pancake Breakfast. The breakfast starts at 8:30 a.m. and runs until 11:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the Piikani Resource Development Department at 1835 15 Ave in Brocket, Alberta. The event is set to feature door prizes, live entertainment, music and more.
Take a journey through Lethbridge’s Chinatown. The Galt Museum and Archives is hosting Remembering Lethbridge’s Chinatown on Thursday, July 28. This event starts at Galt Gardens from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and is described as a short walking tour of Lethbridge’s Chinatown. Attendees will explore the history of the area, and learn about the families who lived and worked there. Organizers encourage anyone who wishes to attend the tour to wear comfortable shoes, and bring a bottle of water. Tickets for this event need to be purchased in advance from the Galt Museum website.
