First UCP leadership debate being held in Medicine Hat July 27

MEDICINE HAT, AB — There are seven official candidates to become the next leader of the United Conservative Party (UCP), and all seven will be in Medicine Hat on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, for the first official leadership debate.

It will be held at the HALO Air Ambulance hangar at the Medicine Hat airport from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The leadership candidates are:

• Leela Aheer
• Brian Jean
• Todd Loewen
• Rajan Sawhney
• Rebecca Schulz
• Danielle Smith
• Travis Toews

The moderator for the debate will be Jeff Davison, CEO of the Prostate Cancer Centre and former Calgary City Councillor.
