LETHBRIDGE, AB – Residents on the west side of Lethbridge may want to give themselves more time tomorrow if they intend on crossing the Oldman River of the city tomorrow.

The City of Lethbridge sent an email release late in the afternoon on July 25, 2022, saying it needs to extend two lane closures on the city’s west side.

The first closure affects eastbound Bridge Drive West from University Drive West to the Bridge Valley Golf Course as crews work to finish an electrical infrastructure installation.

The City expects the work to be completed and the lane to be reopened by the end of the day on July 27, weather permitting.

The second lane closure affects the southbound lane of University Drive West over Whoop-Up Drive as crews perform bridge maintenance.

The closure will begin at 5:00 a.m. on July 26 and work is expected to be completed by the end of the day.

Motorists and pedestrians are reminded to follow posted detours and signage to keep everyone safe at these and all current work sites.
