Brooks RCMP reports fatality in pedestrian collision

BROOKS, AB – RCMP are reporting a fatality in a collision over the weekend in Southern Alberta.

At approximately 10:55 pm on Saturday, August 6, 2022, Brooks RCMP was called to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 539 just east of Range Road 165 in Newell County.

A pedestrian, a 24-year-old man from Brooks, was struck by an eastbound vehicle. His name is not being released at this time.

The victim was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

RCMP are continuing to investigate.
