Police charge Lethbridge man following Crime Suppression Team investigation
LETHBRIDGE, AB – A Lethbridge man faces charges following a drug investigation by the Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) Crime Suppression Team.
Police responded to reports of a man trafficking drugs “to the vulnerable population downtown.” After observing activity consistent with drug trafficking, a search warrant was obtained and the suspect was arrested without incident at a home in the 500 block of 12 Street North on Tuesday, August 9, 2022.
A subsequent search of the individual and residence resulted in the seizure of drugs valued at around $13,000. Police say drugs seized included 58.4 grams of methamphetamine, 45.7 grams of fentanyl, 11.2 grams of cocaine, 26 codeine pills and “a quantity of unknown pills.”
Officers also confiscated $17,190 cash and a quantity of loose change, stolen property including power tools and credit cards, along with knives, bear spray, pellet guns and ammunition.
