Lethbridge woman faces weapons charges following incident in Taber
TABER, AB – An individual from Lethbridge has been charged with multiple offences by the Taber Police Service (TPS).
Police say on August 6, 2022, at about 7:50 p.m., officers responded to a complaint that someone had brandished a firearm during a neighbor dispute. The investigation found that as the victim was getting ready to move from their property, an argument took place between the victim and a female acquaintance of the victim’s neighbor.
Taber Police say during the argument, the suspect brandished a handgun from her waistband and pointed it at the victim. The victim then retreated to their residence and contacted the authorities.
20-year-old Loona Hound, of Lethbridge, was arrested without incident and police recovered a replica handgun. Hound is charged with assault with a weapon; pointing a firearm; and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public. She is scheduled to be appear in Taber court on September 6, 2022.
