LETHBRIDGE, AB – Golfing, music, comedy, and more! There are plenty of events happening around Lethbridge this weekend.

For golfers that feel like giving this weekend, the Vulcan RCMP is hosting the Vulcan RCMP and Victim Services 10th Annual Golf Tournament on Saturday, August 27, 2022. Starting bright and early at 10:00 a.m., the format for the tournament is a four-person Texas Scramble, and entry into the tournament costs $75.00 for Vulcan Golf and Country Club members, or $115.00 for non-members. Your entry into the tournament includes 18 holes of golf, power cart rental, dinner, and the chance to win some great prizes. All proceeds from the tournament will be split amongst the Vulcan Victim Services, Vulcan Golf and Country Club Junior Golf Program, and the Vulcan Get-A-Way Youth Centre. Jasmine Rapuano of Vulcan Victim Services told Lethbridge News Now that as of Friday, August 26, 2022, there was still room for three more teams to participate.

Another fundraiser taking place on Saturday and Sunday is the Scouts Giant Bazaar. Starting up at 10:00 a.m. everyone is invited to come down to the LFGA Hut at Kingsman Park to browse gently used and new items for sale, place bids in a silent auction, or purchase a tasty treat from the bake or barbeque sales. All proceeds raised from this event will be going towards the Scouts Canada youth not-for-profit program. If you can’t find time to make it to the sale, you can still donate by contacting 15thLethbridgeScouts@gmail.com.

Also celebrating ten years, the 10th Annual Lethbridge Electronic Music Festival (LEMF) takes place at the Galt Gardens on Saturday. Starting up at 10:30 a.m., the music will be pumping in downtown Lethbridge until 11:30 p.m. with 25 DJs performing across two stages. LEMF is free to attend, and features plenty of activities besides music, such as a kids’ zone, food trucks, artisan market, and a beer garden. If you still feel like dancing after the music stops at the Galt Gardens, you’re in luck! LEMF is hosting an after-party at Club Lime.

For anyone interested in having a laugh, the Good Times Lethbridge Comedy Club is hosting The Broke Woke Show with Faris Hytiaa and Conner Christmas on Saturday, August 27, 2022. The Broke Woke Show focuses on, you guessed it, being broke and being woke. The show starts at 10:00 p.m., with doors open a half-hour earlier, and tickets can be purchased on the Good Times Lethbridge Comedy Club website, or at the door.
