Water line break prompts water restrictions in Grassy Lake

Sep 6, 2022 | 1:42 PM

GRASSY LAKE, AB – Residents in a Southern Alberta hamlet will have to restrict all non-essential water use for the time being.

The Municipal District of Taber says in a social media post that there has been a “significant” water line break in the Town of Bow Island.

Because of this, the Highway 3 Regional Water Services Commission is immediately restricting all non-essential water use in Grassy Lake and the surrounding area.

“Please use as little water as possible including no watering of lawns, taking shorter showers, and postponing non-essential laundry and dishwashing,” reads a post by the M.D. of Taber.
