Alberta’s Tenille Townes picks up five CCMA awards while co-hosting

CALGARY, AB – While co-hosting the Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) Awards on Sunday, September 11, 2022, in Calgary, Grande Prairie native Tenille Townes picked up five wins of her own.

Townes won Album of the Year for the second year in a row for “Masquerades,” and for the fourth year in a row, Female Artist of the Year.

She also takes home CCMA awards for Songwriter of the Year, Single of the Year for “Girl Who Didn’t Care”, and Entertainer of the Year.

In 2021, Tenille won Album of the Year for “Lemonade Stand,” and Female Artist of the Year. She was nominated for Songwriter of the Year, Fans’ Choice Award, and Country Music Program or Special of the Year.

Townes has won 14 CCMA’s in her career.

Taber’s Corb Lund took home the award for Alternative Country Album of the Year for “Songs My Friends Wrote.”

The Booking Agency of the Year award went to Sakamoto Agency. Founder Ron Sakamoto resides in Lethbridge.
