Lethbridge College Coulee Fest returns September 17 with fun for everyone

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Coulee Fest at Lethbridge College is coming up quickly.

The community event returns on-campus on Saturday, September 17, 2022. Coulee Fest is a family-friendly, free festival that takes place from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the east lawn at the college.

The festivities will include 16 different food trucks, beer gardens and live music, as well as a petting zoo for the younger crowd. Attendees can get up close with goats, sheep, pigs and other four-legged friends. Other activities geared for children include:

  • A family-friendly hour from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. featuring live music from The Band Formerly Known as Karen, Lewis and Pam
  • Horse and buggy rides around campus
  • A glamourous princess party
  • Two bouncy castles
  • Kid-friendly games, including old-fashioned pony hop races
  • Crafts inside the Lethbridge College teepee with the college’s Indigenous Services team

The college noted that most family exhibits are open from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., although some will stay open throughout the entire day, up to 7:00 p.m.

This weekend’s Coulee Fest will be the fourth hosted by Lethbridge College and the first since 2019. Admission to Coulee Fest is free. The day will conclude with a performance by up-and-coming Canadian country stars Hailey Benedict at 4:45 p.m. and Lemon Cash at 6:00 p.m. on the 1st Choice Savings Stage.
