TABER, AB – Update: Two youths arrested in connection to Taber corn stand robbery

The Taber Police Service (TPS) was kept busy on Monday.

On September 12, 2022, at around 5:45 p.m., officers responded to a complaint of an armed robbery at a corn stand. The TPS said multiple officers attended the scene and no physical injuries were reported.

Police noted that the suspect fled the scene on foot and an RCMP K9 Unit was called to assist.

Meanwhile, at about 9:15 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call of “yelling and screaming with possible shots fired” along the 5800 block of 50th Street.

The TPS said it has one adult man from Taber in custody for assault against an adult woman from the town. Officials said that no shots were fired, and officers continue to investigate.
