RCMP in Pincher Creek charge man with property and weapon offences

PINCHER CREEK, AB – The Pincher Creek RCMP has charged a man with property offences.

On September 6, 2022, police attended a local residence to follow-up on an investigation. When officers arrived on scene, the RCMP says a man was seen running from the home.

He was later located, and police say he was in possession of a stolen Polaris side-by-side and a semi-automatic Browning rifle chambered in 30-06. The RCMP says the suspect was breaching previous release conditions and the investigation found that the rifle had been stolen from Fort Macleod.

36-year-old Jesse Flett, of no fixed address, has been charged with the follow:

  • Three counts of failing to comply with a release order
  • One count of possession of stolen property over $5,000
  • One count of possession of a firearm contrary to an order
  • One count of careless storage of a firearm
  • One count of unlawful possession of a firearm
  • One count of possession of a weapon obtained by crime

Following a judicial hearing, Flett was remanded and is scheduled to appear in Pincher Creek Provincial Court on September 20, 2022.
