LETHBRIDGE, AB – Coulee Fest took the Lethbridge College campus by storm over the weekend. Well over a thousand people came out to the one-day festival on Saturday, September 17, 2022.

The festival had all kinds of activities for people to enjoy, including vendors, over a dozen food trucks, live music, and a petting zoo for the kids.

Lethbridge College President Brad Donaldson told reporters at the event that Coulee Fest is a great opportunity to have fun and ring in the new semester.

“It’s an opportunity for the community to come on campus, for employees to get together, for students to celebrate, alumni to come together. Just a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the greatness of this community,” said Donaldson.

Donaldson continued saying that the past few semesters have been difficult for everyone at the college, so it’s nice to see life on campus returning.

“It’s been a difficult couple of years for many who have done their [schooling] online,” Donaldson said. “Just to get back, to be able to socialize, to have that chatter with their friends and classmates, new classmates meeting new friends in person, to be able to interact with faculty on an in-person basis, and just get that social engagement again has been fantastic for students.”

This fall semester welcomed students back to Lethbridge College on September 6, 2022.
