Calgary Police investigating suspicious death of a toddler

CALGARY, AB – Calgary Police say they are investigating the death of a child in southeast Calgary.
Emergency crews were called to a home in the community of Midnapore shortly after 2:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2022, where they found a two-year-old girl in medical distress.
Police say the toddler and her mother were taken by ambulance to Alberta Children’s Hospital, where the girl later died.
Police say the toddler’s death is being treated as suspicious, and a man has been arrested.
