Police looking for suspect in sexual assault investigation

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Police in Lethbridge are asking for help to identify a suspect in connection with a sexual assault investigation.

On September 28, 2022, officers responded to a report that a woman was sexually assaulted by an unknown male at around 2:00 p.m. in the St. Edwards neighborhood. Police say the man left the area and was last seen along St. Edwards Boulevard North.

Officers searched the area, but the suspect was not located. Continued efforts to find him have been unsuccessful so far.

According to the Lethbridge Police Service (LPS), the victim described the suspect as a 25 to 30-year-old man who was wearing black and red track pants, a white hoodie with ‘GAP’ in blue/purple print, black socks, and Adidas slip-on shoes.

A photo of the suspect was obtained, but the LPS is asking homeowners and business operators in and around the St. Edwards neighborhood to review their surveillance systems between noon and 6:00 p.m. on September 28, 2022, for more images of the suspect.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has additional images or information is asked to call the LPS at 403-328-4444 and reference file 22021474.
