The men’s team lost a close one to Northwestern Polytechnic on Friday, October 7. The final score was 93-89. The Kodiaks were able to turn it around on Saturday, October 8, and picked up a 75-71 win over NAIT. The men’s team has one more exhibition game on their schedule.

They are set to face the University of Lethbridge on Wednesday, October 12 before starting their regular season Friday, October 21 against Olds College.

The men’s soccer team suffered two losses over the long weekend. On Saturday, October 8, they fell 4-0 to SAIT and on Sunday, October 9, it was a 5-0 loss to Olds College. The Kodiaks finish off their regular season in Raymond on Saturday, October 15, where they will face Red Deer Polytechnic. This regular season, the team has a record of 3-3-3.

Meanwhile, the women’s soccer team holds a record of 6-3-1. On Saturday, October 8, they lost 1-0 to the SAIT Trojans but followed up that loss with a 5-2 win on Sunday, October 9 against Olds College. The Kodiaks women’s team has two more games on their regular season schedule. They will face Red Deer Polytechnic on Saturday, October 15 and the University of Alberta-Augustana on Sunday, October 16. Both games will be played in Raymond.

U OF L PRONGHORNS

The women’s basketball team was in Regina, Saskatchewan for its first exhibition games of the 2022-2023 season. On Saturday, October 8, they lost 63-46 to the University of Regina. The Pronghorns turned it around Sunday, October 9, and picked up a 78-70 win against the University of Northern British Columbia. The team faces the University of the Fraser Valley on Friday, October 14 in Vancouver.

The men’s basketball team is scheduled to face the Lethbridge College Kodiaks in an exhibition match-up on Wednesday, October 12.

The men’s soccer team was off this Thanksgiving long weekend, but the women’s soccer team was in action. The team was in Edmonton and were hit with two big losses.

On Saturday, October 8, they lost 9-0 to the University of Alberta Pandas. That was followed by an 8-0 loss to MacEwan University on Sunday, October 9. The Pronghorns face the University of Manitoba in Lethbridge on Saturday, October 15. The team currently holds a record of 0-10-2 on the regular season.

The men’s soccer team is back at it in Lethbridge on Friday, October 14, hosting the University of Calgary. Their record sits at 1-9-1.

The women’s rugby team fought hard on Friday, October 7 on route to a 15-10 win over the University of Calgary Dinos to close out the Canada West season. The victory improved the U of L’s record to 2-4-0, but unfortunately, the win did not secure them a spot in the Canada West final four.

The Pronghorns needed to beat the Dinos by more than 18 points and hope that the U of C would lose in their season finale next weekend against the University of Alberta Pandas.
