LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) is asking for the public’s help to locate a man wanted on outstanding warrants in connection to a hit-and-run collision in south Lethbridge over the weekend.

LPS responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Mayor Magrath Drive South and 9 Avenue South shortly after 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 9, 2022.

Police say an eastbound vehicle was turning south onto Mayor Magrath Drive when it was struck from behind by another vehicle, causing extensive damage to both vehicles.

Four people in the first vehicle were injured, including the 40-year-old male driver, a 39-year-old female passenger, and two young children aged five and seven.

The police investigation revealed that following the collision, witnesses reported that two people in the second vehicle fled the scene on foot. Police searched the area, but were unable to locate the occupants of the second vehicle, which police say had a license plate that was reported stolen.

The LPS has issued a warrant for 20-year-old Kohl Lukas Shouting in connection to the incident.

The suspect has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, failure to remain at the scene of a collision, possession of stolen property under $5,000, and failure to comply with a release order.

Anyone with information on Shouting’s whereabouts is asked to contact LPS at 403-328-4411 and reference file #22022379. Crime Stoppers tips can also be submitted online at www.p3tips.com.
